Dear Morris,

Being two months old has brought big smiles, deep convos of coos, and arms and legs that are aggressively moving, at all times. It has been full of countless facial expressions we didn’t even know babies could make and just the beginning glimpse of a big personality that seems to know just what you want and how you want it. This week that would appear in the form of refusing to be held in ANY position while sat down. You must be held standing up while being walked around so you can observe everything around you. Preferably hovering or facing outward. As you can imagine, mom and dad are feeling this in their backs greatly but we love that no matter how many times we walk you through it, our tiny home never gets less amazing to you.

You are making little bubbles with your mouth and more often than not, photographs of you are featuring quite the interesting duck face. You are starting to hold toys in your hands, still love music and shadows, and continue to foster a meaningful relationship with the house plants. Your neck is strong, helping you check out this crazy world during tummy time and you’ve adventured out into nature quite a bit to see it too. We’re so anxious to show you more.

With two sore backs and completely guilty of resorting to “baby shark” to calm you, mama and papa still can’t believe you’re theirs.
